Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial data.
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct variance analysis to monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide actionable insights.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and assist with year-end audits.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecast financial performance.
- Streamline financial reporting processes to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience; CPA certification is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
