Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare complex monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and intercompany account reconciliations.
- Compliance: Ensure the company remains compliant with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the finance department and implement cost-saving measures.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met with high accuracy.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing and month-end accruals.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or finance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex financial issues.
