Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for diverse client portfolios including AP/AR, GL maintenance, and month-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory accuracy
- Lead tax preparation processes for corporate and individual clients with complex financial structures
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems to enhance operational efficiency
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify financial control improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and strategic financial planning
- Mentor junior accountants while maintaining compliance with professional standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or corporate financial management
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and advanced Excel functions including VLOOKUP and PivotTables
- Demonstrated experience with multi-state tax compliance and auditing procedures
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
- Exceptional attention to detail with proven track record of error-free financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills for client relationship management and team collaboration
- Active Maryland CPA license or willingness to obtain within 6 months
