Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare complex financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for monthly and annual reporting.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, identifying variances and recommending solutions.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
