Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger accounts and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts, resolving any discrepancies immediately.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure full compliance.
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during year-end reviews.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices for financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
