As an Accountant at Apex Financial, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and preparing financial statements. Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and accruals.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax documents to ensure timely and accurate filing.
- Conduct internal audits of financial processes and controls to mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor the annual budget and forecast.
- Provide detailed financial reporting and insights to senior management.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely collections and payments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA certification or completion of CPA exam requirements is highly preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of tax laws, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
