Responsibilities
- Manage complex financial reporting cycles and ensure GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end closing processes with reconciliation of key accounts
- Develop and maintain internal controls for financial operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and analysis
- Conduct risk assessments and implement process improvements
- Mentor junior accounting staff through structured training programs
- Prepare executive dashboards and stakeholder presentations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with VBA
- Proven track record of process optimization and cost reduction
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Texas CPA license required
- Experience with SOX compliance and audits
