Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting initiatives for multiple business units
- Oversee compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements for internal controls
- Coordinate external audit processes and provide supporting documentation
- Develop and implement process improvements for accounting workflows
- Prepare executive dashboards and variance analysis for leadership review
- Mentor junior accounting staff on technical and procedural best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros) and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Demonstrated expertise in complex reconciliations and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in high-volume environments
- Experience managing SOX compliance and internal controls documentation
- Ability to thrive in deadline-driven settings while maintaining accuracy
