Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL reconciliation, month-end closes, and financial reporting
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes with 3+ years of hands-on experience
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements for executive stakeholders
- Implement and optimize internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Oversee tax compliance filings and support external audit processes
- Mentor junior accounting staff through structured onboarding programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel with advanced functions
- Proven track record of improving financial reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX, and Colorado tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail in complex reconciliations
- Strong communication abilities for presenting financial insights to non-finance leaders
- Experience with multi-state entity accounting and consolidations
