Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage general ledger operations, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes
- Lead financial audits and regulatory compliance reporting for multi-state operations
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Optimize accounting workflows through automation and process improvement initiatives
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making and business growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Expert proficiency in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial modeling and data analysis
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and accounting software (QuickBooks)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present financial data to stakeholders
- Tennessee CPA license or actively pursuing certification
