Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors for compliance
- Develop and implement financial models to support strategic decision-making
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and ensure accurate cash flow management
- Mentor junior staff and optimize accounting workflows using ERP systems
- Prepare tax documentation and liaise with tax authorities
- Analyze financial variances and provide actionable insights to leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VBA/macros)
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance and audits
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex data
- Experience in healthcare or tech industry accounting preferred
