Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger operations
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights to senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual financial audits
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Lead special projects including budget forecasting and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public or private companies
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP or Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated experience with month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize competing tasks
- Effective communication skills for presenting complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
