Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end closing, reconciliation, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for executive review
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable functions and ensure timely processing
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis for departmental projects
- Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA candidacy preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Proven ability to manage month-end closing processes and reconciliations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with tax preparation and regulatory compliance (FL state taxes)
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems
