Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 15-20 mid-sized clients including month-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct detailed reconciliations and ensure compliance with GAAP/FASB standards
- Lead tax preparation and planning initiatives for diverse business structures
- Develop and implement internal controls for financial risk mitigation
- Mentor junior staff on accounting best practices and software proficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with Miami-based firms
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VBA/macros)
- Expert knowledge of Florida tax regulations and multi-state compliance
- Proven track record of managing client relationships and deadlines
- Certifications: Active CPA license required
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
