Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closings
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Collaborate with auditors during external financial reviews and compliance audits
- Develop financial reports and KPI dashboards for executive decision-making
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency
- Maintain internal controls and implement SOX compliance measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Proven track record in month-end closing and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing accounting teams or mentoring junior staff
- Knowledge of tax preparation and regulatory compliance (FL state)
