Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage full-cycle general ledger operations including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and industry-specific regulations
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures with accuracy
- Collaborate with auditors during financial examinations
- Develop financial models and forecasting reports for strategic planning
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VLOOKUP/Pivot Tables)
- Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Experience with multi-state compliance and payroll processing
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for client/stakeholder interactions
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments
