Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process optimization
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and regulatory requirements across all financial activities
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic business decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial modeling and variance analysis
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax compliance
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls for financial systems
- Mentor junior accountants and provide financial guidance to department heads
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expertise in GAAP, month-end close procedures, and financial statement preparation
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Proven experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to stakeholders
- Remote work experience with demonstrated ability to self-manage deliverables
