This is a critical role for our expanding portfolio of clients in Nashville's thriving business ecosystem. You'll be instrumental in maintaining fiscal integrity and supporting strategic decision-making with accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely payments
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Conduct reconciliations for bank accounts, investments, and ledger accounts
- Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis
- Implement and improve internal financial controls
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax compliance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven experience with multi-state tax filings
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
