Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close processes and financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing with zero-error tolerance
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and variance reporting for executive leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and internal controls
- Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Mentor accounting staff and develop departmental training materials
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (advanced functions), and ERP systems
- Demonstrated success in managing complex reconciliations and audits
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Proven leadership ability in cross-functional projects
