Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Manage compliance with GAAP, SOX, and industry regulations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct financial audits and internal controls assessments
- Mentor junior accounting staff and improve department workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic financial initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (VBA skills a plus)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and financial audits
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
