Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including GL maintenance, month-end closings, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax compliance
- Implement and optimize internal controls for financial accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with auditors during external reviews and internal audits
- Develop financial forecasts and variance analysis reports for leadership
- Maintain accurate records in ERP systems with emphasis on data integrity
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public/private sector exposure
- CPA or active CPA candidacy strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Proven expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
- Experience with multi-state tax regulations and compliance
