Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including general ledger maintenance, month-end close, and financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely reconciliations
- Lead tax compliance initiatives and support audit preparation activities
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Implement and optimize internal controls for financial accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public/private sector exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP compliance and tax regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage competing deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting
