Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for executive stakeholders and investors
- Implement process improvements using accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite)
- Lead tax preparation and compliance initiatives for multi-state entities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Mentor junior accountants and provide technical guidance on complex accounting matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks/NetSuite)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with multi-state tax filings and audit procedures
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex financial concepts
