Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation of all accounts.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable cycles to ensure timely billing and collection.
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and government filings.
- Conduct internal audits and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation during audit periods.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, federal tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
