Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including AP/AR, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory accuracy
- Lead internal audits and support external examinations with comprehensive documentation
- Develop and implement financial controls to enhance operational efficiency and risk mitigation
- Collaborate with leadership on budget forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic financial planning
- Maintain accurate client accounting records using QuickBooks and advanced Excel modeling
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff on best practices and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required
- 5+ years progressive experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems with advanced modeling skills
- Demonstrated success in financial reporting, tax preparation, and audit coordination
- Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail and problem-solving excellence
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions and cross-functional collaboration
- Active Louisiana CPA license in good standing
