Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with attention to GAAP compliance
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and bank reconciliations
- Lead month-end closing processes and journal entry preparation
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX compliance protocols
- Develop financial models for budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements
- Manage tax preparation and documentation for corporate entities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel (VBA skills a plus)
- Proven track record in month-end closing and reporting
- Strong knowledge of Maryland tax regulations
