Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures to ensure financial records are up to date and accurate.
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to implement internal controls and improve financial reporting processes.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities to support the company’s growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or logistics environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups) and experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present it clearly to stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
