Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage general ledger operations, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes
- Lead accounts payable/receivable functions and oversee tax compliance activities
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and regulatory adherence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Conduct audits and provide recommendations for process improvements
- Manage financial reporting requirements for external stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP or Oracle experience a plus)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and prioritize competing tasks
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience with multi-state tax filings and audit preparation
