As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic insights to support our growth. You will work closely with senior management to streamline processes and improve financial accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee the general ledger, ensure accuracy, and perform monthly and annual reconciliations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support for annual audits.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
