Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end closes and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing with 99.8% accuracy
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue growth
- Lead cross-departmental financial planning and budgeting initiatives
- Maintain and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks, SAP)
- Prepare executive-level financial presentations and stakeholder reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate sector
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and ERP systems
- Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Strong understanding of tax compliance and audit procedures
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and mentor junior staff
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Valid Wisconsin CPA license required
