Responsibilities
- Lead financial statement audits and internal control assessments for mid-market and enterprise clients
- Prepare complex tax returns and compliance documentation adhering to GAAP and IRS regulations
- Manage client relationships and serve as primary point of contact for financial reporting inquiries
- Develop and implement process improvements for audit methodologies and risk assessment frameworks
- Mentor junior staff through technical training and professional development initiatives
- Utilize advanced Excel modeling and ERP systems (Sage 100, NetSuite) for data analysis
- Present findings to executive stakeholders with actionable recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with Big 4 or regional firm background
- Deep expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and SEC reporting requirements
- Advanced proficiency in data analytics tools (Alteryx, Power BI) and ERP systems
- Strong project management skills with ability to lead multi-client engagements
- Excellent written and verbal communication with executive presentation experience
- Active CPA license with ongoing CPE credits maintained
- Proven track record of improving audit efficiency and client satisfaction metrics
