Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting
- Oversee general ledger operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for executive leadership
- Coordinate external audits and ensure adherence to SOX controls and regulatory requirements
- Implement process improvements in financial systems and reporting workflows
- Lead accounts payable/receivable functions and cash flow management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial planning and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, or equivalent ERP systems
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and California tax regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing financial reporting for high-growth companies
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex financial data
- Proven track record of process optimization and financial system implementation
