Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing for 50+ employees
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and prepare supporting documentation
- Maintain and optimize accounting systems (QuickBooks Enterprise preferred)
- Develop and implement financial processes to enhance efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Proven ability to manage month-end close and complex reconciliations
- Deep understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and regulatory compliance
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
- Experience managing financial audits and compliance projects
