Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance reporting
- Manage complex general ledger operations and month-end close procedures
- Lead internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Develop and implement process improvements for financial reporting systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and strategic initiatives
- Mentor junior accounting staff and oversee transactional accuracy
- Coordinate external audit processes and respond to regulatory inquiries
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate setting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end close and reconciliation processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and reporting
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
