Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end closes and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal stakeholders and external audits
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Implement and optimize financial controls to ensure compliance with GAAP
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Lead financial system implementations and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing accounting teams or mentoring junior staff
- Knowledge of California state tax regulations and requirements
