Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with detailed variance reporting
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including reconciliations
- Lead audit coordination and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement financial controls to enhance operational efficiency
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Collaborate with leadership on budgeting forecasting and strategic planning
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and month-end close
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
