Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end closes and reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow) adhering to GAAP
- Lead internal audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, IRS regulations, and Louisiana tax laws
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proven experience with financial reporting and audit preparation
