Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Manage complex general ledger accounts and balance sheet substantiation
- Develop and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with auditors during external examinations
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives for executive leadership
- Automate financial reporting workflows using advanced Excel tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
