Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end/quarter-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, variance reports, and KPI dashboards
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX regulations, and internal controls
- Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Proven track record of managing full accounting cycles and audits
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll systems
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting
