We're seeking a dynamic Senior Accountant to join our finance team at Metro Financial Partners. Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes with meticulous attention to detail
- Manage and optimize accounts payable/receivable cycles to improve cash flow
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and executive dashboards
- Ensure strict compliance with GAAP, SOX, and industry-specific regulations
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Coordinate external audits and maintain robust internal controls
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional teams on financial best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA candidacy required
- 5+ years progressive experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP/PivotTables)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to resolve complex financial discrepancies
- Proven experience in process optimization and workflow automation
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations and training
