Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly and annual general ledger closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Assist external auditors during annual audits and provide requested documentation.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed correctly.
- Support the tax preparation process and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Utilize financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) to maintain accurate digital records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate status is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (advanced functions), and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with stakeholders.
