Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with journal entries and reconciliations
- Lead audits and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and advanced Excel functions
- Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership during quarterly reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate settings
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and multi-state tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting software
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and variance analysis
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial data to stakeholders
