Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities with precision.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and reduce errors.
- Close Processes: Lead the monthly and annual financial close procedures, ensuring timely delivery of reports.
- Audit Support: Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and coordinate internal control testing.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA certification is highly preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to analyze complex data and ensure 100% accuracy in financial records.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of US GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
