Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements for multi-entity organizations
- Oversee tax compliance filings and coordinate with external auditors
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Lead process improvement initiatives using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-functional teams
- Develop ad-hoc financial models for strategic decision support
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- NC CPA license or ability to obtain within 6 months
