Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes for 15+ client portfolios
- Develop and maintain internal controls ensuring SOX compliance
- Collaborate with audit teams to facilitate external examinations
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Manage tax preparation and compliance for multi-state entities
- Mentor junior accountants on GAAP and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with Big 4 or mid-tier firm
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and multi-state tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and accounting software
- Proven experience managing client relationships and budgets
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
