Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle general ledger operations including month-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements with variance reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/reconciliation and cash flow management
- Lead internal audit coordination and compliance documentation
- Implement process improvements using NetSuite and Excel automation
- Mentor junior accountants on GAAP standards and SOX requirements
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives for 15+ departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in NetSuite, Excel, and financial reporting tools
- Proven audit coordination and SOX compliance experience
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in complex reconciliations
- Excellent communication for cross-departmental financial presentations
- Active Maryland CPA license required
