Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements with detailed variance commentary
- Lead full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Manage tax preparation processes and coordinate with external auditors
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Conduct financial forecasting and budget variance analysis
- Mentor junior accountants and improve accounting workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance and audit procedures
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
