Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely posting of financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare complex financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for internal review and external audits.
- Compliance & Tax: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and assist with year-end tax preparations.
- Process Improvement: Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior accountants and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial discrepancies.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, driving deadlines and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a strong background in financial reporting and analysis.
- Certification: CPA certification or CMA designation is highly desired.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to stakeholders.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and a commitment to data accuracy.
