Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Prepare financial statements and executive reports with accurate data analysis
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and federal/state tax regulations
- Lead budgeting initiatives and variance analysis for department heads
- Collaborate with auditors during external reviews and internal controls testing
- Maintain financial databases and implement process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end closing procedures
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing financial audits and compliance documentation
