We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Columbus, Ohio. Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage general ledger accounts and perform complex reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state income tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate filing.
- Conduct internal audits and internal controls reviews to identify risks and areas for process improvement.
- Collaborate with the finance manager to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, SOX requirements, and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks).
- Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies and resolve complex issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
